Job summary

EmergencyMD in Beloit, WI seeks a Per Diem - Registered Nurse (RN) for the Family Care Center. You will provide nursing care across Labor & Delivery, Level II Nursery, Postpartum and Pediatric services, collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to deliver high-quality family-centered care.

The role requires current Wisconsin RN licensure, CPR, and certifications in PALS/EFM within specified timelines; NRP within 6 months. On-call availability within 30 minutes is expected.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing.
• ADN, Diploma, BSN, or MSN accepted.
• Current Wisconsin RN license, Compact RN license, or temporary permit required.
• CPR certification within 3 months of hire.
• 1–2 years of Labor & Delivery, Mother-Baby, Pediatric, or Medical-Surgical experience preferred.
• PALS and EFM certifications within 12 months of hire.
• NRP required within 6 months of hire.
• On-call availability within 30 minutes notice.

Responsibilities

• Provide skilled nursing care across Labor & Delivery, Level II Nursery, Postpartum and Pediatric services.
• Assess and monitor mothers and newborns throughout labor, delivery, and postpartum care.
• Perform fetal monitoring and maternal assessments; respond to changes in status.
• Support laboring patients with education, comfort measures and pain management.
• Collaborate with physicians, midwives, and interdisciplinary team to ensure safe care.
• Deliver postpartum and newborn care including discharge planning.
• Administer medications, IV therapies, and document outcomes.
• Develop, implement, and evaluate individualized care plans.
• Educate patients and families on conditions, treatments, and newborn care.
• Maintain accurate EMR documentation and adhere to safety standards.
