Job summary

Kaiser Permanente in Woodland Hills, CA is seeking a Level II Staff RN for an infusion and chemotherapy clinic. This per diem, day-shift position provides professional nursing care in line with established standards of care, ideal for experienced nurses who are adaptable and committed to quality patient care.

You will lead nursing teams, develop individualized plans of care, monitor progress, ensure patient safety and effective pain control, document actions, and collaborate with physicians.

Qualifications

• 1-year recent experience in acute care, ambulatory care, or home health/palliative/hospice care.
• BLS from American Heart Association required.
• ONS/ONCC Chemotherapy Immunotherapy Certificate required.

Responsibilities

• Uphold Kaiser Permanente's policies and procedures.
• Serve as a leader of the health care team and delegate tasks appropriately.
• Develop and contribute to individualized plans of care.
• Monitor patient progress and revise care plans as needed.
• Ensure patient safety and optimal pain control.
• Document nursing processes and interventions accurately.
• Discuss patient findings with physicians and healthcare team members.
• Practice customer service standards and maintain patient confidentiality.
• Mentor and coach others in unit-specific operations.
• Organize work to minimize the use of overtime.
