Job summary

UNC Health Care is seeking a per diem Registered Nurse to join the Maternal-Fetal Medicine team at the UNC MFM Raleigh location. The role involves outpatient womens health, obstetrics, and prenatal care collaboration with physicians, nurses, and support staff.

Responsibilities include patient assessments, education, charting, and coordinating care across the multidisciplinary team. The position emphasizes flexibility, clinical excellence, and compassionate patient interaction.

Qualifications

• Current RN license in the state of practice (North Carolina).
• Nursing experience in outpatient clinic, women’s health, obstetrics, or maternal-fetal medicine preferred.
• Strong clinical assessment, communication, organization, and critical-thinking skills.
• Comfort with electronic health records; Epic experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Partner with physicians and nurse practitioners during visits to support high-quality, patient-centered care.
• Obtain vital signs, administer medications as ordered, and provide patient education.
• Assist with clinical assessments, care coordination, and follow-up for timely care.
• Collaborate with the care team to promote continuity and a positive patient experience.
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation in line with policies.
