Jobtome in New Mexico is seeking an RN Per Diem II for the Orthopaedics Clinic at SRMC. The role is 0.05 FTE, PRN, with day shifts.

You will deliver direct nursing care, follow policies, and collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and document care plans for diverse age groups. Essential qualifications include a program graduate status, at least 1 year of related experience, and NM RN licensure with CPR/BLS.

Qualifications

• Education: Essential: Program Graduate; Nonessential: Bachelor's Degree; Education specialization Essential: Nationally Accredited Nursing Graduate.
• Experience: Essential: 1 year directly related experience.
• Credentials: CPR for Healthcare/BLS Prov or Prof Rescuers w/in 30 days; RN in NM.

Responsibilities

• Deliver safe direct care to an assigned group of patients as required.
• Work within Hospitals, Nursing division and departmental policies.
• Collaborate with the healthcare team, implement and document individualized care plans.
• Assist with special tests and procedures, ensure proper consent has been obtained.
• Participate in orientation and preceptor training responsibilities for new personnel.
• Assist with emergency measures for sudden, adverse developments in patients.
• Maintain patient medical records with necessary information.
• Answer telephones and triage calls per departmental policy.
• Administer medication, including IV medication, via the Seven Rights; document findings.
• Maintain a safe, comfortable, therapeutic environment for patients/families.
• Enhance professional growth via ongoing education and attendance at trainings.
• Follow patient safety policies, report and address safety concerns.
