Job summary

Kelsey-Seybold Clinic is seeking a Per Diem RN I to deliver direct nursing care at our Houston area clinics. You will apply clinical nursing knowledge to promote patient safety and comfort for diverse patient populations.

This role offers per diem schedules with shifts per month and potential holiday work while supporting development within the Optum network. BLS is required; RN licensure in Texas and CRT experience are highly valued.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an approved RN nursing program.
• Texas RN license current and valid.
• Current BLS through American Heart Association.
• 1+ years RN work experience or LVN with supervision program.
• Willing to work 5 shifts per month and some holidays.
• Demonstrated ability to travel within a region.

The Per Diem RN I is responsible for providing direct nursing care by applying clinical nursing knowledge and skills, and for ensuring the safety and comfort of patients and families according to legal, organizational and professional standards.

Required Qualifications:

• Graduate from an approved RN nursing program
• 1+ years of RN work experience or previous experience as a KSC LVN and the new grad's hiring department will provide direct supervision for 6 months, and participate in the new grad preceptoring program
• Valid and current Texas RN license
• Current BLS through American Heart Association
• Willing to work 5 shifts per month
• Willing to work 3 shifts per year the day before or after a clinic holiday, with minimum of 1 shift related to a winter holiday
• Demonstrated ability to use equipment and related supplies for selected patient population and for CPR, oxygen administration and intravenous therapy.CRT experience
• Demonstrated ability to travel within a selected region

Preferred Qualifications:

• Bachelors Degree in nursing
• Specialty nursing certification appropriate to specialty area assigned. Windows bases computer skills.
• ACLS

Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, we offer benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). The hourly pay for this role will range from $29 - $52 per hour based on full-time employment. We comply with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
