Job summary

Amedisys, part of UnitedHealth Group, is seeking a PRN Registered Nurse to coordinate and oversee home health care. You will assess patients, educate families, and collaborate with care teams to implement individualized care plans.

The role requires an active RN license, CPR, and at least 1 year of clinical RN experience, plus a valid driver's license. Compensation includes per-visit pay and hourly compensation with comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Current RN license, specific to the state(s) you are assigned to work.
• Current CPR certification.
• 1+ years of clinical experience as a registered nurse (RN). If less than 1 year clinical experience as an RN, candidate must be approved by VP of clinical.
• Valid driver's license, reliable transportation and liability insurance.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and oversee all aspects of patients' home care.
• Collaborate with patient care teams to develop and implement care plans.
• Educate families on patient condition and needs.
• Perform head-to-toe physical assessments.
• Check vital signs and manage medications.
• Administer injections, IV therapy or tube feedings.
• Administer and maintain catheters.
• Complete timely and accurate documentation.
• Supervise LPNs and HHAs.
• Communicate patient progress to the clinical manager, physician and care team.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
