Job summary

Skyway Surgery Center in Chico, CA is seeking a Nurse Circulator to support ambulatory surgical procedures. The nurse will manage patient care, relay information between OR staff and the center, and ensure adherence to physician orders and policies.

Ideal candidates will be a Graduate of an accredited nursing program with an active RN license, CPR and ACLS certification, and at least one year in the OR with scrub/circulate capability. Orthopedic, GI, or multispecialty experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• Graduate of Accredited School of Nursing; current state RN license.
• CPR and ACLS required.
• Minimum one year in the OR; ability to scrub and circulate preferred.
• Orthopedic, GI, and Ophthalmology experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs scrub functions including instrument selection and handling.
• Performs circulating functions: monitor patient condition and care.
• Assists physician with hemostasis, suturing and wound exposure.
• Prepares operating rooms and surgical instruments and equipment.
