Job summary

Select Specialty Hospital Wyandotte is seeking a Respiratory Therapist (RT) for per diem/PRN shifts in Wyandotte, MI. The role involves evaluating patients, providing respiratory care, and assisting with critical care interventions.

Expect $43.00 per hour plus shift differentials on nights and weekends, plus a $5,000 sign-on bonus. The position offers flexible PRN days with orientation and ongoing professional support.

Qualifications

• Active CRT or RRT NBRC credential or state equivalent (required).
• Current state licensure is required.
• BLS certification by start date.
• ACLS required upon hire.
• Proof of graduation: college transcript/diploma or high school transcript/diploma or GED.

Responsibilities

• Evaluating patients and recommending an appropriate treatment plan.
• Providing respiratory care to patients with critical and complex conditions.
• Performing insertion and removal of endotracheal tubes.
• Promoting continuous quality improvement.
• Teaching and counseling patients/families.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
