Job summary

Shasta Regional Medical Center is seeking a Respiratory Care Practitioner II for night shift, per diem status. You will perform respiratory therapeutic and pulmonary diagnostic procedures as ordered by physicians, with emphasis on assessment, planning, implementation and documentation of care, considering age-specific needs.

Under the direction of the medical director, you may be identified as Lead RCP in the absence of a supervisor, supervising the section during your shift and ensuring

Qualifications

State Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) License required.
Current BCLS (AHA) certificate upon hire and maintain current.
Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) certification from NBRC required.
2 years experience as an RCP preferred.
ACLS certificate within 60 days of hire and maintain current.
NRP certificate preferred.
PALS certificate within 60 days of hire and maintain current.
High School Diploma or equivalent is required; Degree preferred.

Responsibilities

Perform respiratory therapy and pulmonary diagnostic procedures as ordered by physicians.
Assess, plan, implement and document care with attention to age-specific needs.
May be designated Lead RCP in the absence of a supervisor.

Education

High School Diploma or equivalent is required

Associate Degree or Bachelor of Science degree preferred
