Job summary

The position requires licensure/certification, strong assessment and communication skills, and a flexible schedule with 12-hour shifts. Status: Per Diem, FTE 0.3.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an AMA, CoARC or JRCRTE approved Respiratory Therapy program.
• Associate degree in Respiratory Care.
• Must possess excellent assessment skills to floor therapy and patients on mechanical ventilators.
• Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing.
• Two (2) years experience in an acute care facility.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates proficiency in the use/operation of respiratory equipment and provision of respiratory treatment to assigned age specific patient population (e.g. infants, pediatrics, adolescents, adults and geriatrics) and participates in related continuing education.
• Provides care to assigned patients according to professional standards and established procedures, using good judgement and personal initiative.
