Per Diem Respiratory Therapist - 7am to 8pm - Columbia University Irving Medical Center

Join NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital at the forefront of respiratory therapy. We were among the first to implement a Nitric Oxide Program and are renowned for our work with oscillating and jet ventilators. We utilize advanced techniques to improve care quality and shorten hospital stays.

Position Overview: Under the supervision of a licensed physician, the Respiratory Therapist performs various treatments, therapies, and procedures. The therapist supervises respiratory technicians and assists in transporting incubated patients, focusing on airway management and ventilation. They assess and recommend improvements to respiratory care modalities.

Shift: 7am to 8pm. Location: New York Presbyterian/Columbia University Irving Medical Center.

Minimum Requirements:

• Associate’s degree in Applied Science and Respiratory Therapy
• Current New York State Respiratory Therapist License
• Current BCLS Certification
• 1-2 years hospital acute care experience

Preferred: RRT and CRT certifications from the National Board for Respiratory Care.
