Job summary

Beacon of Hope (BOH) is seeking Per Diem Residential Counselors to work in a 24-hour congregate setting on Staten Island. Counselors provide support to clients living with Serious Mental Illness and coordinate with other services while conducting environmental assessments.

The role follows Office of Mental Health regulations and CCCS/BOH policies. Responsibilities include acting as a liaison, assisting with appointments, and ensuring client safety in a non-exempt, hourly position at 777 Seaview

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent; Bachelor's degree preferred.
• Two years of Case Management experience, preferably with SMI population.

Job description

Beacon of Hope (BOH), a Division of Catholic Charities Community Services (CCCS), is currently seeking Per Diem Residential Counselors to work in a 24-hour congregate setting in Staten Island.

Residential Counselors provide support services to clients living with Serious Mental Illness and in various stages of recovery. The Residential Counselor serves as a liaison for all other services required by clients, performs environmental assessments, and escorts clients to appointments. Performs work in accordance with Office of Mental Health regulations for Licensed Housing as well as CCCS and BOH Policies and Procedures.

This is a non-exempt hourly position paying $20 an hour located at 777 Seaview Avenue, Staten Island, NY 10305.

Job Requirements:

• High School Diploma or equivalent, Bachelor's preferred
• Two years of Case Management experience, preferably with SMI population
