  • Perform telephone and electronic triage, assess clinical concerns, provide nursing guidance, and collaborate with the medical team for timely follow-up.
  • Manage Epic documentation and In Basket workflows, including patient/family communications, results-related messages, medication/refill requests, and clinical follow-up.
  • Coordinate medications, laboratory and diagnostic follow-up, post-hospital/emergency care, and longitudinal care needs with the interdisciplinary team.
  • Collaborate with patients, families, providers, pharmacies, schools, community providers, and other healthcare team members to promote safe, coordinated, patient- and family-centered care.

Position Summary:

We are hiring a per diem RN for our Ambulatory Hematology Clinic, Monday- Friday.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide comprehensive nursing care and education for patients from newborn through young adulthood with acute and chronic non-malignant hematologic conditions, including sickle cell disease, anemia, bleeding and coagulation disorders, platelet disorders, and neutropenia.
  • Support ambulatory hematology clinic operations and patient flow, including nursing assessment, direct patient care, and patient/family education.
  • Perform telephone and electronic triage, assess clinical concerns, provide nursing guidance, and collaborate with the medical team to ensure timely and appropriate follow-up.
  • Manage Epic documentation and In Basket workflows, including patient/family communications, results-related messages, medication/refill requests, and clinical follow-up.
  • Coordinate medications, laboratory and diagnostic follow-up, post-hospital/emergency care, and longitudinal care needs in collaboration with the interdisciplinary team.

The posted pay range is Boston Children's reasonable and good-faith expectation for this pay at the time of posting.
