Job summary

Saint Peter’s Health Care System is seeking a Registered Cardiac Sonographer Per Diem in the Cardio Lab. The role supports echocardiographic procedures, patient preparation, and professional communication with medical staff across ER, floors, and clinics.

The position requires knowledge of cardiac diagnostic equipment, a graduate from an accredited cardiac ultrasound program, and registry (RDCS/ARDMS) preferred. BLS is required.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of Cardiac Diagnostic equipment, techniques and procedures.
• BLS Certification required, as approved by the American Heart Association.

Responsibilities

• Perform echocardiographic procedures following accepted protocol and utilizing the clinical symptoms and data to aid in the diagnosis.
• Prepare patient for echocardiographic procedures.
• Communicate with Patients, family members, Physicians, Emergency Room, Floors, Clinic and their office staff in a competent and professional manner.
