Job summary

Metropolitan Behavioral Health (a UHS Facility) is seeking per diem Recreation Therapy staff in Art, Music, Recreation, or Occupational Therapy. The role supports inpatient behavioral health with a focus on engaging patients through meaningful activities and goals within an interdisciplinary team.

Per diem employees must be available to work a variety of shifts including evenings, weekends, and holidays. A CTRS credential or OT licensure is required, with CPR and CPI training available during

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Art, Music, or Recreation therapy or OT.
• 1 year of related psychiatric patient care experience preferred.
• CTRS certification or licensed OT required; CPR and CPI training may be obtained during orientation.

Responsibilities

• Plan and implement activities for assigned programs as part of the Recreation Therapy Department.
• Define and implement treatment goals as a member of the interdisciplinary treatment team.
• Provide continuous patient care, observation, interaction and role modeling to patients.
• Work within CTRS/OT modalities (Art, Music, Recreation or Occupational Therapy) as applicable.
