Job summary

Kelsey-Seybold Clinic, part of the Optum family, is seeking a Radiology Technologist for diagnostic imaging at one of our Houston-area locations. You will perform radiographic studies, maintain image quality, and ensure safety protocols with patients of diverse ages.

Qualified candidates have an AMA-approved Radiologic Technology program and ARRT(R) eligibility, plus BLS. Prior PACS/RIS experience and strong communication skills are preferred.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent
• Graduate of an AMA approved school of Radiologic Technology
• Eligible for ARRT (R) registry
• Graduate Technologist designation (Texas Medical Board) and ARRT(R) MRT within 1 year of eligibility
• BLS certification through American Heart Association
• Proven ability to use computer keyboard and grasp elements of digital image acquisition
• Proven excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills

Responsibilities

• Performs diagnostic radiography including fluoroscopic studies as applicable per department policies
• Maintains an individual repeat rate of <5% and ensures proper positioning and image quality
• Uses RIS and PACS correctly and documents atypical conditions for radiologist review
• Adheres to radiation safety and sterilization protocols
• Participates in training and maintains licenses/certifications and continuing education
• Interacts effectively with patients and coworkers and communicates with supervisors and radiologists
