Job summary

Qualifications

• Active American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) credential.
• Active Iowa Department of Public Health Permit to Practice.
• Previous radiology experience preferred.
• BLS certification within 3 months of hire.
• Candidate must demonstrate honesty, integrity and compassionate care.

Responsibilities

• Assist physicians or radiologists in procedures.
• Educate patients and families on diagnostic testing.
• Utilize critical thinking for daily and emergent exam protocols.
• Examine any body part for diagnostic purposes.
• Demonstrate compassion, empathy and respect to patients and colleagues.
• Maintain safety in handling patients to produce clear radiographs.
• Assess patient prep and exam appropriateness per protocol.
• Follow department exam protocols.
