Job summary

Cayuga Health System in Ithaca offers radiologic imaging services. The Radiologic Technologist will perform Dx radiography exams, follow radiation safety, and deliver compassionate patient care. The role requires self-motivation and teamwork.

Locations include East Campus, Cortland Campus; shift options: days, evenings, and weekends; pay range $32.00-$50.00/hour with per diem incentive; diverse, inclusive employer committed to quality care.

Qualifications

• Problem solving ability and attention to detail is preferred.
• Good written and oral communication skills preferred.
• Requires ability to prioritize work, manage time wisely and adjust to changes in work volumes.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates thorough knowledge of Imaging department procedures and protocols. Capable of setting acquisition factors for optimal image quality. Capable of positioning patient for optimal images. Capable of following Radiologist protocols for specific exams. Capable of evaluating images for quality. Capable of accurately following physician’s instructions.
• Demonstrates thorough knowledge of Imaging department policies. Consistently follows patient identification policy. Understands the correct exam needed and patient factors. Documents any changes/variation to protocol on requisition. Follows all P+P regarding use of ISTAT (per sites worked)
