Job summary

CommuniCare Rehab, a member of the CommuniCare Family of Companies, has a PRN Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) position at Moundsville Healthcare Center in Moundsville, WV. The PTA works closely with a Physical Therapist to deliver in-house therapy and improve residents’ mobility and independence.

Qualifications

• PTA education as CAPTE-accredited two-year associates degree
• APTA Practice Standards/Code of Conduct compliance
• License required for PTA practice
• Competency in therapy principles and equipment utilization
• Knowledge of state and federal accreditation
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Good organizational skills
• Willingness to travel as necessary

Responsibilities

• Interview clients to verify information and assess treatment purpose
• Help clients improve mobility and independence through therapy
• Implement treatment plans in collaboration with the Physical Therapist
• Promote professional growth via continuing education
• Maintain confidentiality of medical records and rehab information
• Accurate billing documentation per facility procedures
• Assist in interdisciplinary team meetings and clinical recommendations
• Support staff training and rehab department documentation
• Manage supplies and inventory for therapy needs
