About Salem Hospital:
Salem Hospital, formerly North Shore Medical Center, is a community hospital located in Salem, Massachusetts. As a member of Mass General Brigham, we are affiliated with Massachusetts General Hospital and are part of the largest integrated health care system between Boston and Portland, Maine.

Position Overview:
We are seeking board-certified or board-eligible psychiatrists to join our Behavioral Health team on a per diem basis. This role is ideal for experienced psychiatrists or psychiatry residents (PGY-3 and above) with an unrestricted Massachusetts medical license.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide psychiatric evaluations and ongoing care for inpatient population.

  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement treatment plans.

  • Document patient care in accordance with hospital policies and procedures.

  • Ensure compliance with all regulatory and safety standards.

Qualifications:

  • MD or DO with board certification or eligibility in Psychiatry.

  • Unrestricted Massachusetts medical license.

  • Completion of PGY-3 year or higher in an accredited psychiatry residency program.

  • Strong clinical skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in inpatient psychiatric care.

  • Familiarity with electronic medical records systems.
