Job summary

Carolina Behavioral Care, part of the Optum family of businesses, seeks a Psychiatrist - Per Diem in Fayetteville, NC to join our behavioral health team. You will diagnose and treat a wide range of mental health conditions, provide individual and group psychotherapy, prescribe medications per protocols, and maintain EMR documentation.

Requires MD/DO license in state, ABPN board certification or eligibility, and active DEA registration.

Qualifications

• Clear, active, and unrestricted MD/DO license in the state of practice.
• Board certified in psychiatry by ABPN or eligible for board certification.
• Active DEA registration.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose mental health conditions using evidence-based criteria and develop comprehensive treatment plans.
• Deliver individual and group psychotherapy sessions with various modalities.
• Prescribe and monitor psychotropic medications per established protocols; adjust as needed.
• Maintain accurate EMR and documentation; ensure regulatory compliance.
• Support patient growth by providing profiles for online directories and marketing materials.
