Job summary

Physician Affiliate Group of New York, PAGNY, is expanding its psychiatric coverage at NYC Health + Hospitals/Jacobi CPEP in the Bronx. This per diem role supports acute emergency psychiatry services, with board-certified or board-eligible psychiatrists providing clinical and administrative coverage during shifts.

Responsibilities include initiating treatment for acute and chronic psychiatric and medical illnesses, conducting rounds, supervising staff, coordinating disposition with social work

Qualifications

• Board certification or eligibility in Psychiatry.
• Active New York State Medical License.

Responsibilities

• Oversee overall functioning and clinical/administrative coverage of the CPEP.
• Initiate treatment for acute and chronic psychiatric and medical illnesses.
• Conduct physical rounds at start of shift to determine bed availability.
• Respond to requests for psychiatric support for agitated patients on any service.
