Job summary

The NYU Affiliated Psychiatry Service at Bellevue Hospital is recruiting per diem psychiatrists for its Comprehensive Psychiatric Emergency Program (CPEP). Qualifications

• Graduation from an approved medical school.
• Completion of a residency in psychiatry at an approved institution.
• Board eligibility or certificate in Psychiatry (as applicable).

Responsibilities

• Provide psychiatric and medical care to assigned patients in collaboration with nursing staff and other consultants.
• Adhere to clinical documentation and regulatory standards.
• Teach/supervise trainees and students as assigned.
• Maintain effective communication with patients and families.
• Deliver care to patients per behavioral plans.
• Work with inpatient psychiatry providers to assess and treat medical needs.
