Select Medical Rehabilitation Hospital in Fort Wayne is seeking a per diem Occupational Therapist to provide therapy services on a PRN basis. The role covers both weekday and weekend needs at the Lutheran Hospital site in Fort Wayne, IN.

The position offers an hourly wage of $55.00 with a $5,000 sign-on bonus. This is a per diem engagement with ongoing responsibilities in inpatient rehabilitation, addressing brain injuries, spinal cord injuries, and other complex conditions.

Qualifications

• Current and valid state licensure or eligibility for state licensure as an Occupational Therapist is required.
• Certified BLS or completion in the first 90 days of employment is required.

Responsabilités

• Evaluates all assigned patients and develops, implements and modifies treatment plans according to the patient’s need and physician direction.
• Delegates and directs all therapy services for assigned patients and designs functional programs for community reintegration.
• Educates patients, families, students, and colleagues.
• Performs other professional duties related to care and program delivery.

Responsibilities

• Evaluates all assigned patients and develops, implements and modifies treatment plan in accordance with the patient’s need and physician direction.
• Responsible for delegation and direction of all discipline-specific therapy services for those assigned patients. Ensures the design of functional treatment programs allowing for an effective return to community activities.
• Serves as an educator of patients, families, students, co-workers and self.
• Performs other professional duties associated with the care of the patient, development of discipline-specific therapy services and design of program delivery.

Minimum Qualifications

• Current and valid state licensure or eligibility for state licensure as an Occupational Therapist required.
• Certified BLS or completion in the first 90 days of employment is required.
