Job summary

MedMark Treatment Centers in Springdale, AR seeks a full-time Physician or Psychiatrist to lead addiction treatment services within our outpatient clinic.

Responsibilities include admitting patients for methadone and buprenorphine, performing history and physicals, documenting in EMR, and supervising PAs and NPs, while coordinating with the Center Director and treatment team to optimize dosing and care plans.

Qualifications

• Boarded Certified or Eligible in any residency.
• Must be licensed in the state of AR.
• 1-year of experience in addiction medicine.
• Compassionate interaction with a diverse population.
• Satisfactory drug screen and criminal background check.

Responsibilities

• Admitting patients for methadone and buprenorphine treatment.
• Cover absences for Medical Director during vacations, meetings, and personal absences.
• Obtain patient history and perform physical examinations.
• Document in EMR, enter methadone dosing orders or buprenorphine prescriptions.
• Monitor patient dosages with Treatment Center Director and staff.
• Consult on high-risk patients and conduct annual medication reviews.
• Willing to supervise Physician Assistants and Nurse Practitioners.
• Other related duties as determined by supervisor.

Primary Job Function:

• Admitting Patients for Methadone and Buprenorphine Treatment.
• Applicant must be able to cover absences for the Medical Director during vacations, attendance at addiction meetings, and personal absences.
• Physician will obtain a history and physical exam.
• Documentation into the EMR, entering orders for methadone dosing in the EMR or writing a buprenorphine prescription.
• Consistently monitoring patient dosages in conjunction with the Treatment Center Director, Counselors and Dosing Nurses.
• Consulting on patients that are high risk and doing annual medication reviews.
• Willing to supervise Physician Assistants and Nurse Practitioners
• Other related duties as determined by supervisor
