Job summary

Mount Sinai Health System is seeking a Physician Assistant to deliver diagnostic, therapeutic and preventive care under supervision. You will work with physicians to assess, diagnose, and treat a broad patient population in a high-volume setting.

Requirements include graduation from an ARC-PA accredited PA program and NYS PA registration, license, and certification, with ACLS/BCLS/PALS. Salary reflects NY wage transparency guidelines and includes potential incentives.

Qualifications

• Graduate of ARC-PA accredited Physician Assistant program with hands-on clinical training.
• NYS PA registration, license and national PA certification are required.
• ACLS, BCLS and PALS certifications are required.

Responsibilities

• Provide care for patients in collaboration with the physician and within guidelines.
• Assess patient needs and develop care plans with the physician.
• Provide health teaching, guidance and counseling.
• Make referrals with physician concurrence.
• Perform complete physical exams using standard techniques.
• Order diagnostic tests with physician collaboration.
• Order medications with physician collaboration.
• Coordinate discharges, tests, procedures; work with social workers and staff; direct admissions H&P.
• Perform daily rounds; may perform other duties as assigned.
