Job summary

Orthopedic Associates of Hartford is hiring a Per Diem Physical Therapist Assistant to join a respected orthopedic team. You will work under the supervision of a licensed PT, assisting in assessments, planning and implementing treatment to improve patient function.

Clinic locations include Farmington and surrounding towns, with hours Monday–Friday, 7am–7pm and potential float to listed sites. Connecticut PTA licensure is required, and an Associates degree is expected.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree in PTA program from an accredited program.
• Connecticut state licensure required.

Responsibilities

• Provides physical therapy interventions under a plan of care written by a physical therapist.
• Performs therapy interventions using techniques appropriate for the patient population.
• Documents treatment interventions.
• May coordinate activities of rehab aides, students and other support personnel.
• Communicates information relevant to patient care to ensure effective service and reimbursement.
• Utilizes products, supplies, equipment and time efficiently to meet productivity targets.
