Rochester Regional Health in Rochester, NY seeks a Physical Therapy Assistant to support therapy services in Long Term Care. Under a NYS licensed Physical Therapist, the PTA documents physician orders and provides patient care while upholding the Unity Brand Promise and core values.

The role includes gait training, assistive device instruction, and collaboration with the therapy team to discharge planning. Per diem, variable 6-8 hour shifts, with flexible start/stop times.

Qualificações

• Associates Degree from an accredited Physical Therapy Assistant program.
• Minimum of 2 years post-graduate PTA experience in an acute care setting and/or an acute rehabilitation facility.
• Successful completion of all fieldwork requirements and eligible to sit for PTA or OTA exam.
• Reads, writes and speaks English.
• Must demonstrate computer proficiency.

Responsabilidades

• Complete and document patient care visits and notes per agency standards.
• Implement treatment programs and discharge plans; train in adaptive equipment use.
• Confer with therapist, physician, and interdisciplinary team about patient response and concerns.
• Provide gait and ambulation training and instruction in the use of assistive devices.
• Coordinate patient scheduling with team members and adjust to census and patient needs.
• Participate in ongoing education and departmental inservices.
