Job summary

Lexington Park Retirement Community in Topeka, Kansas, seeks a compassionate Physical Therapist for per diem coverage to join our rehabilitation team and support residents' mobility and independence.

You will evaluate, treat, and educate residents, coordinate with an interdisciplinary team, and maintain accurate records using EMRs.

Qualifications

• Must hold Kansas Physical Therapist licensure.
• Solid understanding of physical therapy principles and practices.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; team oriented.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision.
• Proficiency in electronic medical records (EMRs).

Responsibilities

• Provide physical therapy services to residents, including evaluations, treatments, and education.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to promote resident independence and rehabilitation.
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, including speech therapy, occupational therapy, and nursing.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of resident progress and treatment plans.
• Participate in resident care conferences and interdisciplinary team meetings.
• Provide education and training to staff on physical therapy modalities and techniques.
