Job summary

UnitedHealth Group is seeking a Per Diem Physical Therapist Assistant in Florida to provide therapy in home care under the plan of care, instructing patients and families, and coordinating with the supervising PT and care team.

Responsibilities include exercising instruction, gait training, ADLs, transfers, and safety, with flexible weekend availability and a valid license. Competitive per visit and hourly pay, plus comprehensive benefits for eligible staff.

Qualifications

• Current, licensed, registered, or certified to assist in the practice of physical therapy in state of practice.
• Current driver’s license and vehicle insurance or access to dependable transportation.
• Available to work a weekend rotation.
• CPR certification preferred or ability to obtain within 90 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Follow state laws and the supervising PT's plan of care.
• Instruct and aid patients in exercises, gait, ADLs, transfers and safety.
• Observe and report patient responses to treatment and coordinate care with the team.
• Educate patient, family, and others in therapy within the PTA scope.
• Function in diverse home settings with respect to all patients.
