  • Pay Rate: $35/hr
  • Schedule: 5/20 & 5/21, 7am-5:30pm
Job Description

VitalCheck Wellness is seeking a compassionate Phlebotomist to assist patients with referral appointments and perform specimen collections for employees at private businesses in Boston, MA. The ideal candidate will have excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to create a supportive environment.

We are open to considering LPNs, RNs, Phlebotomists, CNAs, MAs, and Paramedics with phlebotomy experience (certification preferred).

Responsibilities
  1. Perform and collect specimens accurately (phlebotomy).
  2. Record patient information, including insurance details, and use electronic health records.
  3. Discuss health history, diagnosis, and patient needs.
  4. Educate patients on follow-up care steps.
  5. Assist with billing, coding, and obtaining pre-approvals from insurance companies.
  6. Build and maintain relationships with service providers.
  7. Maintain professionalism and respect towards patients.
  8. Provide excellent customer service.
  9. Collect data and create spreadsheets.
Requirements
  1. Active license or certification.
  2. Active BLS/ACLS certification.
  3. Phlebotomy experience; certification preferred.
  4. Experience with medical scheduling and EMR systems is a plus.
  5. Customer service skills and great bedside manner.
  6. Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  7. Ability to work independently.
  8. Personal laptop or tablet required.
  9. Reliable commute throughout Boston, MA.
