Job summary

Atrius Health, part of the Optum family, is seeking a Lab Associate in Plymouth, MA for per diem coverage at 36 Shops At Five Way and Bourne site as needed. Open availability Monday through Sunday is required.

The role involves collecting blood and non-blood specimens, preparing specimens for testing, and ensuring accurate labeling and documentation. Requires HS/GED and phlebotomy training with relevant certifications preferred.

Qualifications

• High School/GED required.
• Phlebotomy technical training preferred.
• Phlebotomy Technician (PBT) certification preferred.
• 1+ years of phlebotomy experience preferred.
• ACLS/BLS may be required based on specialty.

Responsibilities

• Collects blood specimens for laboratory testing using venipuncture or capillary techniques.
• Collects non-blood specimens such as urine, sputum, and throat swabs.
• Verifies test requisitions and ensures accuracy prior to collection.
• Assembles equipment and prepares work area according to test requirements.
• Labels, records, and stores specimens for processing.
• Maintains daily tallies and supports lab staff as needed.
