Job summary

Arrowhead Regional Medical Center is seeking Per Diem Phlebotomists to collect blood specimens from inpatients and outpatients, ensuring specimen quality and proper handling. You will use hospital computer systems to input and retrieve order information and must hold a California CPT-1 or CPT-2 license.

Per Diem roles do not offer guaranteed hours and are not regular positions. Candidates should be able to pass background checks and meet the department’s schedule needs.

Qualifications

• Six (6) months of full-time equivalent venipuncture experience in a medical setting.
• Must possess and maintain a current State of California CPT-1 or CPT-2 license with the Department of Public Health.
• Per Diem positions are not regular positions and have no guaranteed hours.

Responsibilities

• Collect blood specimens from inpatients and outpatients according to standards.
• Ensure specimen quality and proper labeling and handling.
• Enter and retrieve laboratory order information in hospital computer systems.
