Job summary

Atrius Health, part of the Optum family, is seeking a Per Diem Pharmacy Technician in Burlington, MA. This on-site role offers flexible hours with coverage on a needs basis, including weekdays and weekends as required.

You will support pharmacists with prescriptions, data entry, compounding, labeling, and patient interactions. The position requires a MA Pharmacy Technician license, a High School Diploma/GED, and 1+ years of retail pharmacy experience.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED.
• Active and unrestricted Pharmacy Technician license in the state of Massachusetts.
• 1+ years of retail Pharmacy Technician experience.

Responsibilities

• Process prescriptions, enter data, and prepare medications including compounding and labeling.
• Deliver excellent customer service during medication pick-up and counseling offers.
• Manage inventory, receive and inspect shipments, price and store medications, and restock clinical areas.
• Administer vaccines, report safety events, and contribute to quality improvement and departmental initiatives.
• Collaborate with the pharmacy team and maintain compliance with regulations.

As aPer Diem Pharmacy Technicianyou will perform a wide range of routine and complex pharmaceutical duties in support of pharmacy operations. Relieves the Pharmacist of duties related to the intake of all prescriptions per MA Board of Pharmacy regulations.

Schedule:This is aPer Diemposition with no set number of hours to be worked each week. Will be working on an 'as needed' basis only. Must have open availability to workMonday - Friday, 8am - 8pm+ Saturday and Sunday, 9am - 5pm when called in to provide coverage. Holiday availability may also be needed.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Support pharmacists by processing prescriptions, entering data, and preparing medications including compounding and labeling
• Deliver excellent customer service during medication pick-up, payment processing, and counseling offers
• Manage inventory, receive and inspect shipments, price and store medications, and restock clinical areas
• Administer vaccines, report safety events, and contribute to quality improvement and departmental initiatives
• Collaborate effectively with the pharmacy team, uphold compliance with regulations, and maintain required certifications

Required Qualifications:

• High School Diploma/GED
• Active and unrestricted Pharmacy Technician licensein the state of Massachusetts
• 1+ years of retail Pharmacy Technician experience

Preferred Qualification:

• 2+ years of experience in a retail pharmacy or outpatient pharmacy setting
• American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) preferred
• Immunization Certified preferred
• Nationally Certified Pharmacy Technician preferred

Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, we offer benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). The salary for this role will range from $16 to $29 annually based on full-time employment. We comply with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
