Job description

Job Overview

We seek a Per Diem Pharmacy Technician to support all functions of Genoa mental health and specialty pharmacy primarily through dispensing medical prescriptions and performing necessary clerical duties while under the direct supervision of a registered pharmacist.

Schedule

This is a per diem role, will be working on an 'as needed only' basis to provide vacation and PTO coverage at home site and sister sites in Dayton, TN and Cleveland, TN (sister sites are about 30 minutes from home site). There are no guaranteed hours for this role.

Pharmacy Hours

Monday - Friday, 8am - 5pm (lunch 12pm - 1pm)

1805 INGLESIDE AVE ATHENS, TN 37303 (home site)

Primary Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional customer service to all consumers and members of the clinic staff
• Fill prescription orders and make them available for verification under the direct supervision of the registered pharmacist
• Order, receive, and store incoming pharmacy supplies
• Receive and process wholesaler medication orders
• Verify medication stock and enter data in the computer to maintain inventory records
• Work with the pharmacist to assist in pharmacy functions and keep the pharmacy in compliance with all federal and state requirements
• Perform various clerical duties relating to the department
• Communicate with strong professional verbal and written communication skills
• Other duties as assigned
• Provide PTO and vacation coverage when needed at home site and at sister sites in Dayton, TN and Cleveland, TN

Required Qualifications

• Active and unrestricted Pharmacy Technician license in the state of Tennessee
• Access to reliable transportation and valid US driver's license

Preferred Qualifications

• National Pharmacy Technician Certification
• 6+ months of Pharmacy Technician experience
