Job summary

Genoa Healthcare, part of Optum and UnitedHealth Group, is seeking a Per Diem Pharmacist to support on-site pharmacies around the Tucson AZ area. This role processes prescriptions, provides medication information, and delivers high levels of customer service while adhering to state laws.

The position offers flexible per-diem shifts Monday through Friday with 8:00 am to 5:00 pm coverage. A PharmD or BPharm and an active Arizona license are required, along with a valid driver's license and

• Bachelor’s Degree in Pharmacy or PharmD.
• Current pharmacist license in Arizona.
• Must have some availability or flexibility M-F, 8-5 to pick up shifts.
• Driver’s License and access to a reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

• Distributes drugs prescribed by physicians and other health practitioners
• Provides information to customers about medications and their use
• Focuses on providing a superior level of customer service
• Ensures compliance with all relevant laws of the applicable State Board of Pharmacy
• Administration of immunizations as allowed by State Boards of Pharmacy
• Any other usual and customary pharmacy duties

We seek a Per Diem Pharmacist to perform professional duties and responsibilities associated with the processing of prescriptions. Per Diem Pharmacists are classified as temporary employees and work on an intermittent basis.

Schedule of Genoa Healthcare Pharmacies are Monday-Friday, 8:00am-5:00pm. Candidates must have some availability during that time and will cover locations in and around the Tucson AZ area (including Sierra Vista, Douglas and Casa Grande).

Primary Responsibilities:

• Distributes drugs prescribed by physicians and other health practitioners
• Provides information to customers about medications and their use
• Focuses on providing a superior level of customer service
• Ensures compliance with all relevant laws of the applicable State Board of Pharmacy
• Administration of immunizations as allowed by State Boards of Pharmacy
• Any other usual and customary pharmacy duties

Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, we offer benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). The hourly pay for this role will range from $44 - $79 per hour based on full-time employment. We comply with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
