Job summary

The Care Clinic Pharmacy at the San Antonio AIDS Foundation is seeking a Per Diem Pharmacist to join our community-focused team in San Antonio, TX. You will interpret prescriptions, counsel patients, and support pharmacy operations in a collaborative, clinic-integrated setting.

As part of VytlOne's network, you’ll ensure medication safety, participate in educational initiatives, and assist with staffing on a flexible PRN basis to meet patient needs.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited school of pharmacy.
• One-year experience as a practicing pharmacist preferred.
• Knowledge of drugs and their indications, contraindications, dosing, side effects, and proper administration.
• Ability to communicate technical information to non-technical personnel.
• Knowledge of policies and regulations pertaining to the disbursement of pharmaceutical drugs.
• Ability to maintain quality, safety, and infection control standards.
• Ability to supervise and train assigned staff.
• Proficiency with computers and related software applications.
• Bilingual Spanish preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Interpret and fill drug orders.
• Provide patient information and counseling.
• Dispense prescriptions, compound, and prepare I.V. admixtures.
• Monitor drug therapy for contraindications, interactions, allergies and appropriateness.
• Maintain inventory and records of drugs as required by law.
• Supervise pharmacy technicians in routine duties.
• Participate in inventory control programs and pricing accuracy.
