Job summary

UCLA Health in Los Angeles is seeking a highly skilled oncology pharmacist to maintain and review patient medication profiles, verify orders, and ensure safety in IV therapies across multiple UCLA Health sites.

You will provide clinical pharmacy services including pharmacokinetic dosing, therapeutic interchanges, IV/PO conversions, and protocol-based interventions, collaborating with clinicians to promote safe medication use.

Qualifications

• Doctor of Pharmacy Degree required.
• California Pharmacy license required.
• ASHP-accredited PGY2 oncology residency or 1 year oncology pharmacy experience required.
• Recent oncology experience within 5 years preferred.
• BCOP certification preferred.
• Infusion pharmacy experience preferred.
• EPIC/Beacon experience preferred.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, organizational and follow-through skills.
• Knowledge of age- and disease-specific pharmacokinetics.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and review patient medication profiles and verify physician orders.

Interacting with healthcare professionals and providers to help promote safe medication use, prevent inappropriate or misuse of medications; provide clinical pharmacy services (e.g., pharmacokinetic dosing, therapeutic interchange, IV/PO conversions, clinical protocols per pharmacy and pharmacist interventions).

Schedule: Monday-Friday, variable hours (hours may vary based on departmental needs). You are required to have the ability to travel to multiple work sites within UCLA Health.

Hourly Salary: $115.04

Qualifications

We are seeking an exceptionally-skilled and compassionate pharmacist with the following qualifications:

• Doctor of Pharmacy Degree
• California Pharmacy license
• ASHP-accredited PGY2 oncology residency or at least a minimum of 1 year of pharmacy practice experience in oncology
• Recent clinical oncology experience (within 5 years)
• Board Certification in Oncology (BCOP) preferred
• Previous infusion pharmacy experience preferred
• EPIC/Beacon experience preferred
• Exceptional communication, interpersonal, organizational and follow-through skills
• Knowledge of and ability to perform age specific and disease specific pharmacokinetic calculations
• Required to have the ability to travel to multiple work sites within UCLA Health
