UC Irvine is seeking a Staff Pharmacist to manage day-to-day drug distribution, IV order processing and therapeutic interventions. The role includes supervising technicians and actively precepting residents, students and interns, with responsibilities spanning drug information and patient consultation.
The position emphasizes maintaining patient profiles, involvement in cardio-pulmonary emergencies, drug therapy monitoring, and adherence to institutional policies.
Pharmacists perform the day-to-day responsibilities of drug distribution, computer drug and IV order processing. Perform therapeutic intervention as needed, drug information and consultation to other professional staff and patients, the maintenance of patient profiles, attendance at cardio‑pulmonary emergencies, drug therapy monitoring, and drug compounding. The Staff Pharmacist is also responsible for directing technicians, performing inventory control, and actively precepting pharmacy residents, students, technicians or interns as assigned by the supervisor. This position is a Direct Care Provider as defined in Pharmacy Policy.
