Job summary

Lowell Community Health Center is seeking a motivated per diem pharmacist to join our onsite pharmacy team. You will promote patients' understanding of their medications and provide supervision to ensure accurate dispensing, contributing to quality care and safe medication use.

As part of the healthcare team, you will counsel patients, participate in vaccine administration, and collaborate with staff to improve health outcomes while complying with all governing bodies and 340B program guidelines.

Qualifications

• Pharmacy degree from an accredited college of pharmacy; continuing education credits required.
• State pharmacist license in good standing; CPR certification; vaccine administration certification.

Responsibilities

• Process new prescriptions, refills and transfers.
• Verify orders and ensure accuracy, safety and efficacy of dispensed medications.
• Supervise staff and organize pharmacy workflow to provide quality care.
• Provide medication counseling and vaccine administration.
• Educate patients on storage, disposal, and barriers to adherence.
• Maintain compliance with governing bodies and 340B program.
