Job summary

Kindred Hospital Baldwin Park, part of ScionHealth, is seeking a Pharmacist to collaborate with the Director of Pharmacy, dispense medications, and support clinical staff in a 91-bed facility. Responsibilities include ensuring safe drug therapy, participating in performance improvement, training staff, maintaining regulatory compliance, and managing IVs and med orders for adults and geriatrics.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited School of Pharmacy with Pharmacist degree.
• Current state license in good standing.
• BCLS certification.

Responsibilities

• Collaborates with the Director of Pharmacy and dispenses medications and pharmaceutical supplies.
• Participates in Performance Improvement plans within the hospital and advises medical staff.
• Interprets medication orders and ensures accurate dosing and safe drug therapy for adults and geriatrics.
• Maintains I.V. preparation, temperature logs and hood cleaning routines.
• Fills orders, ensures accuracy before release, and supports pharmacy personnel.
• Maintains security of controlled substances and supports education programs.
