Wellington Regional Medical Center is seeking a per diem Pharmacist to join our team in Florida. This role provides pharmaceutical care, patient counseling, and education, supporting safe medication use in an acute care setting.

The Pharmacist will fill medications, monitor therapies, supervise staff, and participate in stroke alert procedures, with ongoing training to maintain current stroke knowledge. This position supports our mission of compassionate, high-quality patient care within the UHS

Qualifications

• Current Florida pharmacist license.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Pharmacy required.
• Doctor of Pharmacy Degree preferred.
• Experience in acute care setting required.

Responsibilities

• The Pharmacist provides comprehensive pharmaceutical care through integrated drug distribution, patient counseling and teaching.
• The Pharmacist fills orders for medications, monitors patient’s drug therapies and provides drug information.
• The pharmacist supervises and directs supportive staff.
• In the absence of the Director of Pharmacy, a pharmacist may assume essential responsibilities and duties of the Director of Pharmacy.
• Recognizes signs and symptoms of stroke and calls a stroke alert overhead.
• Verbalizes stroke alert process.
• Maintains currency in stroke knowledge by completing the annual 1 hour online training.
