Qualifications

  • Pharm D. degree (required)
  • CA Pharmacy license (required)
  • ASHP-accredited residency (preferred)
  • ACLS certification (preferred)
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, organizational and follow-through skills
  • Knowledge of pharmacokinetic calculations
  • Ability to compound intravenous admixtures and other sterile products

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and dispense pharmaceuticals for inpatient orders
  • Collaborate with health care team to prevent misuse of medications
  • Provide clinical services (pharmacokinetic dosing, therapeutic interchange, IV/PO conversions, TPN)
  • Comply with departmental policies and procedures and ensure patient safety

In this key role, you will be responsible for preparing and dispensing many types of pharmaceuticals to fulfill orders in the inpatient pharmacies. You will collaborate closely with other members of the health care team to help prevent inappropriate or misuse of medications. Adhering to departmental policies and procedures, you will deliver a wide range of clinical services (e.g., pharmacokinetic dosing, therapeutic interchange, IV/PO conversions, TPN per pharmacy, pharmacist interventions).

Hourly Salary: $115.04 (Standard Per Diem Rate)

We’re seeking a dedicated clinical professional with:

  • Pharm D. degree and current CA Pharmacy license (required)
  • ASHP-accredited residency (preferred)
  • 2 years inpatient pharmacy experience (preferred)
  • ACLS certification
  • Exceptional communication, interpersonal, organizational and follow-through skills.
  • Knowledge of and ability to perform age specific and disease specific pharmacokinetic calculations.
  • Ability to compound intravenous admixtures and other sterile products.
