Job description

The Per Diem Pharmacist appropriately dispenses prescribed drugs, handles incoming physician calls, logs data into the computer, performs Rx workflow processing, and conducts drug utilization reviews.

This is a per diem position located in Philadelphia, PA (1226 Chestnut St) and the pharmacy is open M-F from 9am to 5pm.

About the Role:

• Properly dispense, order, and maintain proper inventory of drugs and supplies, pursuant to all state and federal laws.
• Maintain the highest quality of pharmaceutical care and services.
• Assist with managing pharmacy operations and supervising team members (two Pharmacy Technicians).
• Collaborate with physicians to discuss potential incompatibility issues with patient prescriptions.
• Ensure compliance with all state and federal laws and regulations pertaining to the practice of pharmacy.
• Keep abreast of changing laws, regulations, and new pharmacy-related programs.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
• Perform in accordance with company policies and standards.

About You:

• Bachelor’s or Doctoral (PharmD) degree in Pharmacy from an accredited university.
• Active Pharmacist license in good standing in the State of PA.
• 1+ year of full-time retail pharmacist experience preferred.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, time management, and customer-service skills.
• Able to effectively work with, mentor, and supervise two pharmacy technicians.
• 340B experience and/or AAHIVP certification a plus.

Pay range: $60 to $65 per hour, based on credentials and geographic location.
