Job summary

Genoa Healthcare in Louisville, KY is seeking a Per Diem Pharmacist to perform professional duties related to processing prescriptions. This temporary role supports PTO coverage and works at our local pharmacies.

Responsibilities include distributing prescribed medications, informing customers about drug usage, delivering excellent customer service, and ensuring compliance with state pharmacy laws. Immunizations may be administered where permitted; valid pharmacist license required.

Qualifications

  • Customer service excellence in a retail/pharmacy setting.
  • Immunization administration and vaccine handling experience.
  • willingness to complete LAI Training and perform injections as required.
  • Active state pharmacy license and adherence to regulations.

Responsibilities

  • Distribute drugs prescribed by physicians and other health practitioners.
  • Provide information to customers about medications and their use.
  • Deliver superior customer service at each interaction.
  • Ensure compliance with state Board of Pharmacy regulations.

We seek a Per Diem Pharmacist to perform professional duties and responsibilities associated with the processing of prescriptions. Per Diem Pharmacists are classified as temporary employees and work on an intermittent basis.

Our pharmacies are Monday-Friday, 8:00 - 5:00.

This position will cover PTO and leave at the following pharmacies:

  • 3934 Dixie Highway Suite 102, Louisville, KY
  • 501 E. Broadway Suite 335, Louisville, KY
Primary Responsibilities
  • Distributes drugs prescribed by physicians and other health practitioners
  • Provides information to customers about medications and their use
  • Focuses on providing a superior level of customer service
  • Ensures compliance with all relevant laws of the applicable State Board of Pharmacy
  • Administration of immunizations as allowed by State Boards of Pharmacy
  • Any other usual and customary pharmacy duties

Required Qualifications
  • BA or PharmD in Pharmacy
  • Current pharmacist license in state of which you will work
  • Willing to complete LAI Training and administer LAI
  • Driver's License and access to reliable transportation
Preferred Qualifications
  • Retail experience
  • Long Term Care/Assisted Living experience
  • Behavior or Mental Health experience

Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, we offer benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). The hourly pay for this role will range from $44 - $79 per hour based on full-time employment. We comply with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
