Job summary

Shields Health Solutions in Massachusetts is seeking a PET Technologist Aide to support PET technologists, Front Office, Courier and SRS teams in a fast-paced clinical setting. The role emphasizes professionalism and patient-centered care while coordinating across departments.

As a per diem opening, you will assist with PET procedures, manage CDs/reports, and liaise with referring physicians and radiologists.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 2+ years of experience in a Medical Imaging/Clinical setting.
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Must be able to sit, stand, walk and utilize a computer for long periods of time.
• Must be able to assist patients with mobility difficulties.
• Must have flexibility to travel to Central and Eastern Mass if needed.
• Organized, attentive to detail, self-starter, reliable.
• Good communication skills and extraverted.

Responsibilities

• Support PET technologists when needed.
• Retrieve CDs and reports on PET patients.
• Deliver reports, CDs to referring MDs.
• Retrieve and correlate outside CDs and reports for reading radiologist.
• Deliver CDs to reading radiologist at serviced facility.
• Communicate with and support SRS team.
• Monitor all outside CDs and ensure they are returned or set aside for patient pick-up.
• Provide liaison and public relations between Shields network, radiologists and referring community.
• Provide a positive atmosphere to coworkers, radiologists, hospital staff and referring community.
• Clean and re-supply equipment rooms as needed.
• Familiarize with Regulatory Compliance Regulations (DPH, Radiation Control).
