Job summary

Hearts For Dementia LLC is seeking a dedicated Personal Care Attendant/Caregiver to assist clients in their homes throughout the West Valley and surrounding areas. The role offers flexible, per diem hours based on client needs, allowing you to choose shifts that fit your availability.

You will deliver essential daily living support, monitor health conditions with caregivers, and collaborate with families to maintain safety, dignity, and independence for clients in a compassionate environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; certification in caregiving or personal care preferred.
• Minimum of 5 years' experience in a caregiving role or similar position is a plus.
• Knowledge of basic caregiving principles, personal hygiene, and safety practices.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Compassionate, patient, and empathetic demeanor.

Responsibilities

• Assist clients with personal care activities, including bathing, grooming, dressing, and toileting.
• Help with mobility and movement, including transferring clients in and out of bed or vehicles.
• Provide companionship and emotional support to clients, engaging them in conversation and activities.
• Assist with meal preparation and ensure clients receive proper nutrition.
• Medication assistance and monitoring clients' health conditions
• Perform light housekeeping duties such as laundry, cleaning, and maintaining a safe and tidy living environment.
• Document and report any changes in clients' conditions to the appropriate healthcare team members.
• Maintain confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA regulations.
