Job summary

Kona Community Hospital in Hawaii is seeking a Per Diem Nurse to coordinate care for pediatric to adult medical/surgical patients. You will participate in patient/family teaching and provide leadership with the nursing team, upholding standards of care.

Shifts may include weekends and holidays, reporting to the Nurse Manager. Required is Hawaii RN licensure, BLS (ACLS/PALS as applicable), and about 1 year of professional nursing experience in a clinical setting.

Qualifications

• RN license in Hawaii is required at appointment.
• 1 year of professional nursing experience in clinic/hospital/institution.
• BLS certification required; ACLS/PALS may be required for some roles.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate nursing care for medical/surgical and telemetry patients.
• Lead and teach patients and families; ensure standards of nursing care.
• Work shifts including weekends/holidays as needed; report to Nurse Manager.
