Job summary

First Choice Nurses is seeking an experienced PCU Registered Nurse for per diem hospital shifts across Hampton Roads, Virginia. Take control of your schedule with 7a-7p or 7p-7a options and choose shifts that fit your life.

Competitive per diem pay, daily/weekly pay options, and the ability to work as little as one shift per month are offered. You’ll work in acute-care environments, providing high-quality patient care and coordinating with medical teams.

Qualifications

• Virginia RN License is required.
• Current AHA BLS and ACLS.
• QuantiFERON-TB Gold test within past 12 months.
• COVID-19 vaccination or approved exemption.

Responsibilities

• Assessing, monitoring, and documenting patient conditions.
• Monitoring cardiac rhythms and changes in status.
• Administering medications, IV therapies, and treatments.
• Collaborating with physicians and care teams.
• Maintaining EMR records and infection-control standards.
• Educating patients and families about care plans.

PCU RN Requirements

• Virginia RN License Minimum 2 years of recent PCU nursing experience within the past 4 years
• Current AHA BLS
• Current AHA ACLS
• Current QuantiFERON-TB Gold test within the past 12 months
• COVID-19 vaccination or approved medical/religious exemption
• Additional credentials may be required based on facility assignment
