First Choice Nurses is seeking experienced PCU Registered Nurses for per diem hospital shifts across Virginia. Take control of your schedule with 7a-7p and 7p-7a options, including daily and weekly pay choices.
Per diem work offers the freedom to pick shifts that fit your life. As a PCU RN, you will provide high-quality patient care in acute-care hospital settings, assessing conditions, monitoring rhythms, and collaborating with care teams.
Qualifications
- Virginia RN license with 2 years of recent PCU nursing experience in the past 4 years.
- Current AHA BLS certification.
- Current AHA ACLS certification.
- QuantiFERON-TB Gold test within the past 12 months.
- COVID-19 vaccination or approved medical/religious exemption.
- Additional facility-specific credentials may be required.
Responsibilities
- Assess, monitor, and document patient conditions.
- Monitor cardiac rhythms and status changes.
- Administer medications and IV therapies.
- Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary care teams.
- Maintain accurate and timely electronic medical records.
- Follow infection-control and patient-safety standards.
- Educate patients and families on care and discharge plans.
- Adapt to different hospital units and environments.
